In deze COI Focus bestudeert Cedoca kindhuwelijken in Afghanistan. Cedoca sluit het onderzoek af op 6 juni 2025.

Er bestaan verschillende definities van het begrip kindhuwelijk. In een rapport van de studiedienst van het Europees Parlement over kindhuwelijken staat dat hoewel de officiële leeftijd van volwassenheid van land tot land verschilt, er bij verschillende internationale verdragen, in lijn met het Internationaal Verdrag inzake de Rechten van het Kind van de Verenigde Naties (VN) sprake is van een kindhuwelijk wanneer ten minste één van de huwelijkspartners, meestal het meisje, jonger is dan achttien jaar. Ook volgens andere bronnen, zoals het United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) en het Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), gaat het om een huwelijk waarbij een van de partners jonger is dan achttien jaar. In lijn met deze definities, spreekt Cedoca in deze COI Focus ook van een kindhuwelijk wanneer een van beide huwelijkspartners jonger is dan achttien jaar .

Dit rapport is een update van de COI Focus van 17 juli 2020 met als titel Cuba: Le retour dans le cadre de la procédure cubaine de rapatriement. Het handelt over reisbeperkingen en de houding van de Cubaanse autoriteiten ten opzichte van hun terugkeerders die het land legaal en illegaal hebben verlaten. Het analyseert de beschikbare informatie van 2020 tot 16 juni 2025. Cedoca sloot het onderzoek voor deze update op 16 juni 2025 af.

Dit onderzoek verzamelt informatie over de situatie van seksuele en genderminderheden in Colombia. Dit document is een update van de gelijknamige COI Focus van 16 februari 2023 en verzamelt informatie over een verslagperiode van begin 2023 tot en met mei 2025. Cedoca heeft het onderzoek afgesloten op 30 mei 2025.

The purpose of this report is to provide relevant information regarding the targeting of individuals in Syria, for international protection status determination, including refugee status and subsidiary protection, and in particular for use in the update of EUAA’s Country Guidance on Syria.

This report addresses topics related to the targeting of individuals by different armed actors operating in Syria, including the Government of Syria, the Syrian Democratic Forces, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, the Syrian National Army, and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant among others. Targeting of individuals by sectors of society is also addressed where relevant.

This report is an update of the EUAA COI Report: Syria – Targeting of individuals (March 2020). It also provides updated information on profiles and topics covered previously in the following EUAA COI reports: EUAA COI Report – Situation of women (February 2020), EUAA COI Report – Military service (April 2021), and EUAA COI Report – Situation of returnees from abroad (June 2021).

The reference period for the events described in this report is from January 2020 until August 2022. The drafting of this report was finalised on 19 August 2022. Any event taking place after this date is not included in this report.

The report covers the period of April 2021 - July 2022, and it is an update of the EUAA COI Report: Syria - Socio-economic situation: Damascus City, published in April 2021. It provides relevant information regarding the socio-economic situation in the city of Damascus, including information about internal mobility and freedom of movement. This will inform the update of the chapter on Internal Protection Alternative within the EUAA Country Guidance on Syria 2022.
